Run Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager outside Creo Elements/Direct Drafting
You can start Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager from the Windows Start menu. This lets you search, organize, and view models, assemblies and drawings without opening Creo Elements/Direct Drafting. Running Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager this way is ideal for quick access to the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server database.

Here are some tips to remember when running Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager outside of Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
1. You can view most drawing files with Creo Elements/Direct 2D Access. Creo Elements/Direct 2D Access is available for download from the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server Software Distribution Server.
2. If you make changes in Creo Elements/Direct Drafting and want to save them, make sure you Start and stop Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager within Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
3. You can run two Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager s at the same time - one from within Creo Elements/Direct Drafting and another from the Windows start menu. Only the one associated with Creo Elements/Direct Drafting can save changes.
Limitations of running Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager outside of Creo Elements/Direct Drafting:
When Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager is run standalone instead of as a module of Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, the following actions are disabled:
Save drawings.
