Import XVL models
You can import XVL® files from your local file system into the database.
When you manually import and save your XVL files, Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager manages these files as independent items in the database, so you can
assign specific attributes,
view and edit DB Properties,
version your XVL files as separate files, and
manage your XVL files with their own lifecycle management.
To import an XVL file associated with a project, folder, packet, or Masterdata element:
1. Select a project, folder, packet, or Masterdata element in the Workspace.
2. Click Home and then, in the Edit group, click the arrow next to Add New.
3. Click XVL. Alternatively, right-click and, in the shortcut menu, click Add New > XVL. The New XVL dialog box opens.
4. Select the file from your file system and fill in optional fields.
5. Click OK.
To import an independent XVL file:
1. Click File > New > XVL. The New XVL dialog box opens.
2. Select the file from the file system and fill in optional fields.
3. Click OK.
