Copy a part
Sometimes you want to create a new part from an existing part. Each part must have a unique name and a unique System ID when it is saved in Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager.
To create a new part from an existing part:
1. Load the existing part into Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
2. Open the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting Part Browser.
3. Rename the part.
4. Click > > > then Confirm. This will give the part a unique System ID.
5. Click Store Part.
6. Click the part in the Part Browser.
7. Click Save in the Save dialog box.
