Change the class of an item
Each item stored in the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server database has a class. The class determines which attributes are stored for the item.
An organization may create additional classes for different types of items. For example, an organization might have different classes for its own parts and purchased parts. Or it might have different classes for design documents and purchase orders.
This menu item will only be available if your administrator has configured multiple classes for this data type (models, drawings, parts, etc.).
To change the class for an item:
1. Select an item in the Workspace.
2. Click Home and then, in the Edit group, click Change Class. Alternatively, right-click and, in the shortcut menu, click Change Class.
3. Select the new class from the submenu. An attribute dialog box opens.
4. Modify the attributes if necessary.
5. Click OK.
