Customize BOM flags and tables
You can create new BOM flags and tables, and customize them with text references.
Add rows and columns to BOM tables:
Add rows and columns to BOM tables like you add geometry to a drawing:
1. Begin with an existing table from the database. If you do not know where one is, perform an advanced search for me_bom_flag.
2. In Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, click Home and then, in the Draw group, click Line.
3. Add rows in the BOM table by drawing lines using normal Creo Elements/Direct Drafting methods.
4. When you finish, you can assign BOM text references and save your new table.
Assign text references to BOM flags and tables:
You create new flags and tables by adding text references. Begin with an existing BOM flag or table from the database.
To view the current text references, click File > Drawing Manager > BOM Config > Show References > Reference Names.
1. To add a new reference, click Text > Enter Text in Creo Elements/Direct Drafting and add placement holder text (e.g., "xxx") where you want the new attribute.
2. Click File > Drawing Manager > BOM Config > Assign References.
3. Click an attribute from the Text Ref Name dialog box.
4. Click the text or placement holder text to replace it with the new attribute.
Save a new BOM flag:
After editing your BOM flag, save it in the database if you want to use it later.
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, click File > Drawing Manager > BOM Config > Store > Pos Number.
2. Select a BOM flag to save. Either
select an existing BOM flag to overwrite
or
type a name for a new BOM flag.
3. Type a name for the new BOM flag and save as type me_bom_flag.
Save a new BOM table:
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, click File > Drawing Manager > BOM Config > Store > BOM Layout.
