Add an Access Control List
Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server provides a set of predefined Access Control Lists (ACL). You can also add ACLs and define permissions for the database object.
To add an ACL,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager Standalone, click Admin on the Workspace Bar.
2. Click Access Control List under What do you want to manage? in the left pane. The Access Control List page opens.
3. Click
Add New ACL under
Access Control List in the left pane. Alternatively, right-click the ACL folder in the
Access Control List page and, on the shortcut menu, click
Add. The
Create New ACL and ACL Entry dialog box opens.
4. In the ACL Name box, type a name for the ACL.
• If you use the shortcut menu to add an ACL, an ACL entry is added to the existing ACL. • The ACL Name box in the Create New ACL and ACL Entry dialog box is already filled.
5. Select a value in the User/Group/Role Name box and the State box.
You can also add an ACL for a State which does not exist in Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager database.
6. Select the type of permission in the Project Permissions, System Permissions, Class Permissions, Element Permissions, and the Attribute Permissions sections. Click All in the All Permissions section to grant all permissions to the objects associated with the ACL.
7. Click Reset to reset the values to default.
8. Click OK to complete the operation. An ACL is created and is displayed in the Access Control List page in the following format:
ACL Name : User/Group/Role Name : State
You cannot add an ACL which has the same ACL Name, User/Group/Role and State as that of an existing ACL.
