Dynamic menus
The commands on the Ribbon are dynamic; you can find the same commands by right-clicking an item. The commands displayed in the dynamic menus depend on what you have selected or what you right-click. All operations that you can perform on the item are displayed. For example, the Load command only appears in the menu when you have a model or drawing selected.
Dynamic menu commands and icons
The following table lists the default icons and commands available with Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager. You will not see all these commands for any item; the contents of the dynamic menus are determined by the type of item you have highlighted.

Load a model or drawing into Creo Elements/Direct Modeling or Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.

Load with
|
Load the selected item into the program you choose in the submenu.

|
View the PDF file associated with the selected drawing.

BOM
|
Open the BOM Editor for the selected items.
|
 |
Export
|
Export Workspace information to HTML, Excel, or CSV formats. To use, right-click in the Workspace.

Send as link in e-mail
|
Open a new e-mail message with a link to the Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager item.

|
 |
Revise
|
Create a new revision of the selected Masterdata.
|

Recalculate
|
Create a recurring task to recalculate a clash analysis.
|
 |
Generate Native Format
|
Create a recurring task to convert your model or assembly to a selected native format.
|
 |
Generate Standard Format
|
Create a recurring task to convert your model or assembly to a selected standard format.
|
 |
Generate Viewing Format
|
Create a recurring task to convert your model or assembly to a selected viewing format.
|
 |
Generate 2D Formats
|
Create a recurring task to convert your drawing to a selected output format.

 |
Generate PDF
|
Create a recurring task to convert your drawing to the Portable Document Format (PDF).
|
|
Plot
|
Create a recurring task to print your drawing(s), or send a plot request directly to the Job Spooler.

Add To Favorites
|
Display a copy of the selected item in the Favorites tab.
|
 |
Expand All
|
Expand a structure so you can view its children.
|
 |
DB Properties
|
Edit and view information about this item from the database.
|
 |
Table Edit
|
Open the Table Editor for the selected items.
|
 |
Change State
|
Change the state for the selected item.
|
|
Change Owner
|
Change the Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager user who owns the item.
|
|
|
Change Class
|
Change the class of the item.
|
|
 |
Cut
|
Copy the selected item to the clipboard and removes it from its current location.
|
 |
Copy
|
Copy the selected item to the clipboard.
|
 |
Paste
|
Copy the contents of the clipboard to the selected item.
|
 |
Duplicate Masterdata
|
Create a copy of the Masterdata.
|
 |
Remove from parent or packet
|
Remove a child item from its parent in the current context but keep the item in the database.
|
 |
Delete from database
|
Delete the selected item from the database.
|
|
Delete Simplifications
|
Delete simplifications for the selected item from the database.
|
 |
New Version Replace
|
Quickly find and replace Masterdata or a model in an assembly.
|
 |
Modify Roles
|
Open the Modify Roles dialog so you can modify the roles for a project.
|
 |
Change Controlling Project
|
Change the project that controls the permissions for the item.
|
 |
Clear Controlling Project
|
Remove the item from control by the project's permissions. The item is still visible in the project.
|
 |
Reserve
|
Lock an item so others cannot save their modifications in the database.
|
 |
Unreserve
|
Unlock an item so others can save modifications.
|
 |
Add New
|
Add a new Note, Part, Thumbnail, Change Note, eDrawings file or XVL file for the selected item. The items that can be added depend on the class of the selected item.

Structure Compare
|
Compare the structure of any two elements (assemblies, parts/Masterdata, packets, etc.). This does not compare BOM versions.

Part Structure Compare
|
Same as Structure Compare, except it filters out everything BUT parts/Masterdata.

 |
Subscribe / Unsubscribe
|
Change your subscriptions to the selected item.
|
|
Layout
|
Define attributes displayed with projects, folders, and packets. To use, right-click in the Workspace.
|
|
|
Find (Ctrl- F)
|
Search for terms within Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager. To use, right-click in the Workspace.

|
F5
|
Refresh the window.
|
|
|
New Window (Ctrl-N)
|
Open a new Workspace window.
|
 |
If a command you expect is not available in the right-click menu or Action menu, you may not have the correct item selected, or that command may not be available for the type of item you have selected.
