Custom installation backup
A Custom installation of Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server only includes a pre-configured database backup for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. It does not include a pre-configured database backup for other editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or Oracle 10g. Consult your Microsoft or Oracle documentation for instructions on how to back up and restore your database.

Your regular server file system backups include xml files that match the version of the database. These xml files contain information on any customizations made to the database, such as assigning Data Dictionaries or Number Generators. If you do not restore these files, existing xml files may be out of sync with the database. Restore the following files on the server:
