Creating WRIST ASSEMBLY
Next create the assembly drawing WRIST ASSEMBLY:
1. Switch on (tick) the Spotlight check box option in Parts. This command causes the active part to have a normal appearance and all non-active parts to be shown in magenta dotted lines.
Make sure that the ME10 top part is empty.
2. Click Edit in Parts.
3. Click Top in Edit.
4. Click Delete, All and Confirm.
Rename the top part with the assembly drawing name you wish to see in the parts list.
5. Click Part Browser in Parts.
6. In the Part Browser, click on the Top part.
7. Press the right mouse button to display a popup menu.
8. Select Rename from the popup menu.
9. Replace the current name of the Top part to WRIST ASSEMBLY.
The name of the active part in the status line changes to WRIST ASSEMBLY. Note that this part contains only the assembly name WRIST ASSEMBLY but no drawing elements.
Now load the first part of the assembly, for example the wrist pin.
10. Click Open in File.
11. Select or specify the filename of the drawing to be loaded: wristpin.
ME10 asks you to indicate a reference point to position the drawing.
12. Specify a reference point.
13. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the drawings:
◦ retainclip1.mi
◦ retainclip2.mi
14. Store the final assembly drawing as wrist_assy.
