Loading a Drawing Frame
A number of standard drawing frames are supplied with Creo Elements/Direct Drafting. To load one of these frames:
1. Pull down the File menu.
2. Click Open to display the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting File Browser.
3. Click Navigator to display the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting Navigator.
4. In the left pane of the Navigator, change to the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting installation directory.
5. Double-click the preview image of a drawing frame.
The frame is a symbol part which is always loaded below the Top part (refer to Handling Parts and Assemblies). Each frame consists of two concentric rectangles: the outer one the size of the respective paper size, the inner one between 10 to 50 mm smaller per side.
The frames are drawn in magenta with the dotted linetype and therefore will not normally be plotted out.
Drawing frame part names have the form:
frame_A4[symbol], frame_A3[symbol], and so on.
The ten frame options are:
A
A4
B
A3
C
A2
D
A1
E
A0
