Changing Text Attributes
CHG TEXTS gives you access to the commands that change attributes of existing dimension text items in your drawing.
The commands available under CHG TEXTS are:
CHG TEXT
Changes text appearance attributes such as size, font, slant, and aspect ratio.
CHG UNITS
Changes the units used for the upper and/or lower dimensioning text.
CHG FRAME
Changes the type of box drawn around selected dimensioning text.
CHG DIMLOC
Changes the location of the dimension text.
CHG ORIENT
Changes the orientation of the dimension text.
CHG TOLERA
Edits, adds, deletes, or converts tolerance entities on selected dimensioning text.
CHG PREFIX
Edits, adds, or deletes prefix information on selected dimensioning text.
CHG POSTFX
Edits, adds, or deletes postfix information on selected dimensioning text.
EDIT TEXT
Edits dimensioning text.
CANC EDIT
Cancels any editing you may have performed on a selected dimension text entity.
Dimension text consists of several components:
Prefix
Dimension value
Tolerance
Postfix
You can change the appearance of any of the dimension text components. To change the appearance of dimension text:
1. Pick CHG TEXTS from the DIMENSION 3 screen menu.
2. Pick CHG TEXT and the component of the dimension text.
3. Pick the new attribute from the OPTIONS list.
4. Identify the dimension text to change.
5. Press END to end this command.
