Setting Dimension Text Space
This section shows how to set the distance between the ends of the dimension lines and the dimension text.

This function only works if you have previously picked On Line in SET DIMLOC.

The following figure shows the distance between the ends of the dimension lines and the dimension text. The Creo Elements/Direct Drafting default for this distance is 2 mm.
Distance between Dimension Lines and Text
To set the distance between the ends of the dimension lines and the dimension text:
1. Pick SET TEXTS from the DIMENSION 3 screen menu.
2. Pick SET SPACE.
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting prompts for a value
3. Enter a value.
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting sets the space for all subsequent dimension text. The style display window is updated if needed to reflect the change.
To set the distance between the ends of the dimension lines and the dimension text to 3 mm:
1. Press DIMENSION 1 and pick the SET TEXTS menu.
2. Pick SET SPACE.
3. Enter 3.
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting sets the distance to 3 mm.
