Lines need not be connected in order to assign or extract a Collinear constraint. Following figure shows a common application for Collinear constraints: "gluing" a line element to a construction line.
Collinear Lines
When adjusting a pair of lines to make them collinear, SOLVE tries to use the smallest adjustment possible to bring the pair into line.
