Vertical
Linear elements that are assigned a Vertical constraint will be adjusted as necessary at solve time to become vertical. If SOLVE cannot make this adjustment due to other constraints on the element, the solve fails. A vertical constraint will not prevent a linear element from moving or changing length in the variation; it only adjusts the slope of that line to 90° or 270°.
To assign Vertical constraints:
1. Select ASSIGN on MENU 2.
2. Select type Vertical.
3. Pick the linear element to be constrained.
4. Press END or assign the next constraint.
The vertical icon, Constraint Icons, identifies vertically constrained lines.
