This section shows how to set a part as active so that you can then change it. All new drawing elements created from then on belong to the active part.

Similarly, whichever part is active affects the results of the Modify and Delete commands. If you have the Spotlight turned on (refer to Spotlighting Parts), the active part is shown in normal linetypes and colors, while all other parts are shown in magenta dotted lines. The name of the active part is displayed in the System Status Line.
