The pattern lengths refer to the length of hatch line-patterns. The parameter value is a real number in millimeters; the default setting is 8 millimeters. This value defines a length into which the particular pattern has to be fitted. For example, a length of four millimeters would compress the pattern into half the default length as shown in the following figures.
