The IGES 2D Translator supports the Initial Graphics Exchange Specifications (IGES) Revision 5.1.

The IGES 2D Translator can translate in two directions: From MI format to IGES format, and from IGES format to MI format. A two-way transfer of data between Creo Elements/Direct Drafting and another CAD system supporting IGES format is possible. The transfer operates as shown in the following figure:

The IGES 2D Translator supports MI version 2.8 (read and write).
