Cut, Copy and Paste
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting provides Cut, Copy and Paste functions which operate via the Clipboard. The Select functions (including Poly; see Selecting Drawing Elements) can be used to facilitate the selection of elements to be cut or copied.

Enables you to cut elements.

Enables you to paste elements.

The handling of elements via the Clipboard can be manipulated via the Clipboard tab. Click Setup, Edit Environment, System, Clipboard to display this tab. Via this tab, you can change the following settings:

Inverse Black and White
|
White changes to black, while black changes to white.
|

Global Selection
|
Like the Global selection function (see Selecting Drawing Elements), this setting selects the entire parts tree rather than just the current part. If you paste to Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, this parts tree is retained. If you copy to another application, the parts tree will be smashed.
