Setting Dimension Text Offset

This function only works if you have previously selected either Above Line or Below Line in SET DIMLOC.

The following figure shows the distance (or offset) between the dimension line and dimension text. The Creo Elements/Direct Drafting default for this distance is 2 mm.
Dimension Text Offset
To set the dimension text offset:
1. Pick SET TEXTS from the DIMENSION 3 screen menu.
2. Pick SET OFFSET.
3. Enter a positive offset value.
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting sets the offset distance. The style display window is updated if necessary to reflect the change.
To set the distance between the dimension line and the dimension text to mm:
1. Pick SET TEXTS from the DIMENSION 3 screen menu.
2. Pick SET OFFSET.
3. Enter 5.
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting sets the offset distance to 5 mm.
