Dimensioning Angles
During your work you will need to dimension angles between lines. Creo Elements/Direct Drafting measures an angle depending on the order in which you identify the lines making up the angle. Therefore, there are two possible results for each Angle option. Creo Elements/Direct Drafting measures angles in a counterclockwise direction.
To dimension an angle:
1. Click Angular in Dimension.
2. Click the applicable Angular option.
3. Click the two lines that make up the angle.
4. If you switched Automatic dimension placement off in Options under Dimension Settings, click the desired location for the dimension text(s), using the dimension trace for guidance.
5. Click End to end this command.
The Angle options are:
Direct
Opposite
Adjacent -
Adjacent +
For each of the above options you can achieve two results.
Following figure shows how you identify the angle lines in the opposite order to achieve a different result.
