Loading a Part
In the case of an assembly drawing, a part is loaded beneath the top part. This means that there is no need to clear the memory as the top part has now been renamed, for example
EXAMPLE_ASSY
.
To load a part:
1. Press FILE.
2. Pick Drw/Part in LOAD.
3. Enter the name of the file to be loaded. For details of acceptable filenames refer to File Organization and Names.
4. Position the reference point of the loaded part relative to the drawing's coordinate system. This can be done in two ways:
a. Indicate the desired location of the part's reference point with the cursor.
b. Or pick ABSOLUTE in FILE.
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting will automatically load the part into the position, relative to the origin, in which it was originally created.
*
Creo Elements/Direct Drafting loads the file immediately beneath the top part.
