A team member from another office gives you a model to evaluate. However, the model file is CATIA®, I-DEAS®, Creo Parametric, Unigraphics®, or SolidWorks® and may require additional preparation to use in Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access. You want to
• Make sure the model meets specifications
• Check the model for interference or other flaws
• Add comments to the model to send back to your team member
• Save the model back into its original file format
Inspect a 3D design
If you want to inspect a 3D design for any reason, use these links to learn the basics:
1. File types. Start by looking up the file extension. It may already be supported by Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access with or without additional effort.
2. Load additional modules and applications. If needed, load and start a module on Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access for the 3D file type. This makes the CAD conversion service available to you when you load these popular file types.
