Creating Downstream References
Follow the steps given below to create a downstream reference for an item:
1. Select a tracker to open the corresponding All Items page in the Document View.
2. Select the item from where you want to create the downstream reference.
3. In the middle panel, left of the item selected, click

in the vertical sidebar. A list of all applicable trackers is displayed.
4. Select a tracker in the list. The Submit Work Item dialog box opens.
5. Enter the required details in the Submit Work Item dialog box and click Save. The downstream reference for the item is created.
Generating Test case or a Risk as a Downstream Reference
You can generate a test case or a risk as a downstream reference for an item by using the following options:
• Generate Test Cases: Allows you to select the test case tracker in which you want to create the new test case. This option is available if there are test case trackers that reference the selected requirement tracker in their Verifies field.
• Generate Risk: This option is available if there is a Risk field in the requirements tracker.
Follow the steps given below to generate test cases or a risk as a downstream reference:
1. Select a tracker and open the corresponding All Items page in the Document View.
2. Click

on the
All Items page.
3. Hover over Generate Test Cases or Generate Risk and select the required test case or risk tracker.
A test case tracker item or a risk tracker item is automatically added as a downstream reference.
