Trigger State Transition
The workflow action feature allows you to trigger a new state transition for the subject item from within other:
Triggering a state transition is very similar to Update item properties, but whereas
• Update item properties does not allow to change the status of the subject item,
• This action requires to update the item's Status field!
You can optionally also
• Define a Guard, when to trigger the state transition.
• Update More... field values along with the Status. For example, Assigned to, etc.
The new state transition is triggered after the triggering state transition or workflow event has been processed.
