Permissions
Along with the flow of responsibility, you should define permissions for the following:
• Fields
• State Transitions except for the initial transition from Undefined or Non-existing status to initial status since items in these statuses cannot have participants yet and must be assigned to roles.
The permissions for fields and state transitions are based on the Participants whose member fields you are using for the flow of responsibility and not on Roles.
For example, only users assigned to a task should be permitted to perform the state transition from Assigned to to a task should be permitted to perform the state transition from In progress to Completed:
If you want to reuse the same permission settings for all transitions, you can select the Apply permissions to all transitions option by clicking 
icon under the Actions column on the Configuration window.
