Creating Work Items Based on an Item Template
To create a new work item from an item template, click the 
Create item from a template icon, and select the template to use from the dropdown menu.

• Document view
• Document edit view
• Table view
• Tracker cardboard
• Release cardboard
• Work item details
On a document view or document edit view page, it is also possible to create an item-template-based child item by selecting the Insert a new Child Item from Template option using the context menu in the tree view (right clicking an item).
During the creation of a new item using an item template, if field values no longer exist or are no longer valid (for example, due to tracker configuration change), the user is warned about this fact, while the creation of the new item is completed with still valid and existing values.
