Reviewing Suspected Links
If you create a reference or association between two items and select Propagate Suspected, when the target item changes you will be notified through the suspected indicator icon indicating that the item is a suspect.
Linked Items with Different Types
When the items have different types, you can click the suspected indicator to display the changes in the tracker item that triggered the suspected indicator. For example, you have items A and B where A depends on B, and a user updates item B. The screen will show the changes to item B.
By clicking Clear Suspected you can acknowledge the changes and remove the suspected badge until the item is updated again.
Linked Items with the Same Type
When the items have the same type, you can click the suspected indicator and review the Changes tab which shows the changes made to the item that triggered the suspected indicator.
The Merge tab shows the differences between the linked items. Since the items have the same type, you can copy the field changes from one item to the other. Using the Apply buttons, you can select the changes that you want to apply to the source item.
You can see the common fields of the original and copy items. The values from the copy appear on the left side and the values from the original appear on the right.
If there is a b in any of the fields it is highlighted in the right column and the apply button is displayed in the middle column.
If you are sure that you want to take a change from the library issue, click Apply in the row. You can apply all changes by clicking Apply in the table header.
After selecting the changes to apply, click Save to update the copy and. This clears the suspected link flagindicator.
*
The suspected link is triggered when a user adds a comment to the original issue since comments cannot be moved to the copy issue. In this case, the Diff screen is empty and Save clears the suspected link.
*
If you have the Issue - Suspected Merge tracker permission on the target tracker, you can merge the changes without having permission to change the target item.
