Reporting Already Existing Bugs
Another option for reporting bugs against a test run is to find any existing bug using free-text search from the report-bug dialog. To search for an existing bug, enter the search text in the Search for field on the Search for an existing Bug tab. Select the required bugs from the search results. The selected bugs are displayed in the Selected Bugs section. Clear the checkbox to remove a bug from the Selected Bugs list. Click Add selected Bugs to add the selected bugs to the test run.
Reporting Bugs for any Test Runs Any Time, Even After Running Them
Normally testers report bugs from the test runner while running the test run, but sometimes they may want to add new or existing bugs later or at any time during the run.
This is possible using one of the following methods:
On the Test Runs page, click and select Add Bug....
From the item details page of the test cases runs, Click Add Bug... link, which adds a bug to the related test case and its test case run.
These Add Bug... links open the same add bug dialog that appears from the test runner with the following options:
Create a new bug for the test case.
Choose an existing bug for the same test case. This option does not appear for test set runs.
Find any existing bug using free-text search.
