Removing JIRA Synchronization
JIRA synchronizations can be removed from a tracker by clicking on Remove... in the JIRA synchronization settings.
This is an irreversible process that deletes the following:
The JIRA synchronization settings of the tracker.
The JIRA synchronization history of the tracker.
The JIRA synchronization job/schedule of the tracker.
The JIRA synchronization information of all synchronized tracker items in this tracker, including the JIRA ID and the JIRA Key attributes.
When removing JIRA synchronizations, the tracker itself, the tracker configuration and the tracker items are kept.
*
Tracker items that were previously synchronized with JIRA are no longer recognized as such. after synchronizations are removed from the tracker. If other JIRA issues that have links to JIRA issues that were previously represented by items in the tracker from which synchronizations have been removed are later imported into a different tracker, the newly imported items do not refer to any items in no-longer synchronized tracker.
If JIRA synchronization is later set up again for the tracker, even if it is associated with the same HIRA project and issue type as before, importing does not update any existing tracker items. New items for all JIRA issues are created instead. Similarly, exporting does not update any existing JIRA issues but instead exports all existing items as new JIRA issues.
*
To disable the JIRA synchronization without losing synchronization settings, history and status, deselect the Enabled checkbox. The synchronization can be reenabled at any time.
A Tracker Synchronization Listener can be implemented and deployed in order to be notified whenever a tracker is attached to or detached from JIRA, or, the JIRA Synchronization Setting are changed.
