A copied test step is the equivalent of a manually created test step. There are no restrictions on the test step behavior, and both the Action and Expected Result fields remain editable.

A referencing test step behaves differently. A referencing test step is not editable because its fields contain the values of the original test step. The original test step is editable. Changes made to the original test step affect the referencing test step.
