Providing Parameter Values in Excel Sheet in the Document Manager
You can also provide parameter values by selecting an Excel sheet from the Document Manager. A special Codebeamer/Test Parameters directory is automatically created in the current project’s Document Manager, where the Excel files can be uploaded.
These files can be used as parameter data sources by selecting them in the Excel in Document Management tab.

This method works as follows:
• Only the first sheet of the selected Excel document is used.
• The first row of the Excel document is used for the parameter names.
• Further rows are used as parameter values.
The benefit of using an Excel document and the Document Manager is that you can reuse and share this document between different test cases and test sets. The Document Manager controls access to the shared file and manages its version control or history, so you have greater control over the changes.
