Help Links
A help link is a clickable link on the Codebeamer user interface that opens a Help Center page with the information about a specific feature.
Help links appear in different forms and locations on the Codebeamer user interface. Here are some examples:
The Help Center link—Located in the lower area of each Codebeamer page.
The User help icon Help menu item—Located in the upper-right user menu of each Codebeamer page.
The Generic help icon icon—Located next to Computed as, Hide if, or Mandatory if areas when editing a field in the tracker configuration.
The following images show examples of help links on the Codebeamer user interface:
Help links from the My Start page
Help links from the field configuration page
Help links are always context-sensitive, meaning that they open the Help Center topic relevant for the feature from which the link is opened and in the language that you have selected in your Codebeamer user preferences.
For example, the Help Center link in the footer of the Projects page opens the Managing Projects user guide, and the Help Center link in the footer of the Reports page opens the Reports user guide.
Reconfiguring the Help Link Web Addresses
Administrators can reconfigure the web address of the help links. For more information about this feature, see the "helpCenter" section.
