Editing Documents in Document Trackers
To enable this function, see Document tracker configuration instructions.
After enabling the feature, Edit via Office is available within the context menu of the corresponding artifact to modify Word, Excel, and Power Point files in Document Trackers.
The option is also available in the context menu of the listed documents in Table View.
The operation of Edit via Office option in Document Trackers is described in the sectionEditing documents.
However, the minor version in the Revision field increases by one each time the document is saved and uploaded automatically to Codebeamer.
Edit issue description in issue details view
Edit the issues description by clicking the Edit via Office menu item in the More context menu menu.
Add a comment in issue details view
Add a comment by clicking the Add Comment via Office menu item in the More context menu menu.
Add a comment in document view
Add a new comment to an issue from document view by clicking the Add Comment via Office option in the More context menu menu.
Edit a wiki page
1. Open the wiki page and click the Edit via Office option in the More context menu menu.
2. Edit the document content in MS Word.
3. Save the document, and refresh the wiki page in the browser.
