Editing Reports
Editing an existing report is possible only if your user group permissions allow it.
To edit a report:
1. Click the Report tab.
2. Click Customize on a report's tool-tip. The editor assistant opens.
3. Enter the necessary information.
View Mode and Edit Mode
There are two modes of the reports: View mode and Edit mode. If you have only READ access for the current report, only the View mode is available. If you have WRITE permission, you can switch between the two modes by clicking either Open in View Mode or Edit on the action bar.
In the View mode, you can see only the name and description of the report, and the result table.
Click My Reports to see a list of your starred reports and some predefined reports (Submitted by me, My unresolved items). You can star your reports using the context menu of the report in the View and Edit modes.
You can edit in-place in the View and Edit modes. See more information about in-place edit
here.
Direct Edit Mode
The Direct Edit mode allows you to change the report settings without having to run the reports.
Enable the Direct Edit mode by setting the value of "reportEditWithoutLoading" to true in the application configuration. You can enter the Direct Edit mode in two ways:
• Click > > and then, click Edit next to the name of the relevant report.
• In the View mode, click Edit in the relevant report.
To load the reports in the Direct Edit mode, click GO, or select any of the Show Children, Show Ancestor Items, Show Descendant Items checkboxes.
When you open a report for the first time in the Direct Edit mode, the results are not loaded immediately. A message to click GO appears.
Delete Report
Use the context menu of the current report to delete the report.
Export Report to Office
You can export reports to Excel. Two options are available:
• Simple Excel Export—Export the columns that you see on the screen (saved for the report).
• Export to Excel via Template—First select a project that contains an existing template, or you can upload a template.
You can select Multi-values go to multiple rows to export reference or member field values to separate rows. Otherwise, the values are exported to one cell in a comma-separated list.
