Administering Tags
Users with Label Admin permission can administer the public tags. For more information, see
Administrator's Guide.
Any user with view permissions on the entity can administer private tags. User can:
• Rename Tags - Change the name of the tag. Ensure that the new tag is not the same as an existing tag. When the tag name overlaps with an existing tag name, tag merging is required.
• Delete Tags - Delete the name of the tag. The tag immediately disappears from each affected entity. This change is irreversible.
• Merge Tags - Merge two tags. When you try to rename a tag to a tag-name that already exists, Codebeamer prompts you to confirm the merger of the tags. After you confirm the merger, the source tag is deleted and the entities currently labeled with it are re-labeled with the target tag. With the appropriate permissions, you can use this feature to convert a public tag to a private one and vice versa, by specifying public or private names. These changes are irreversible.
Click the Tags menu on the toolbar of the Personal page to access the Tag list, where you can edit or delete tags.
