Creating and Inserting Diagrams
You can create new diagrams and insert diagrams into documents.
Creating a Diagram
To create a new diagram select Documents > New > Diagram.The Diagram Editor opens for new diagram creation.
Inserting a Diagram
To insert a diagram select Advanced options > Insert or Edit Diagram > Insert from Documents The Insert from Documents window displays. From this window you can insert diagrams from the diagram history or using search.
Inserting from History
To insert a diagram from the diagram history, complete the following steps:
1. On the Insert from Documents window,view the History tab.
2. Select the diagram.
3. Click Insert.
Inserting by Search
To search for a diagram to be inserted, complete the following steps:
1. On the Insert from Documents window, view the Search tab.
2. Provide the necessary details.
3. Click GO.
4. Further options are available to refine the search.
5. Once the intended diagram is found, click the Insert button.
The selected diagram is displayed in the WYSIWYG editor from which the insert action was performed. Double click on inserted diagrams, in a document to open the Diagram Editor window and edit the diagram.
Diagram Formats
Diagrams are rendered as images in WYSIWYG editors, but are saved in SVG format after saving the work item. This means that clickable links and other rich contents can be added to the diagrams.

When exporting to Microsoft Word the diagrams are converted to printable image format because export of SVG files is currently not supported.
