Configuring Codebeamer to Read Emails
Navigate to the My starts > System Admin module and click Email Inboxes and Polling. You must have Codebeamer System Administrator privileges to view the System Admin tab.
Define the Polling schedule of the inboxes for Codebeamer.
Main Inbox
Replies to Codebeamer emails are received in the Main Inbox. When you configure Main Inbox, Codebeamer receive replies to emails sent by Codebeamer.
To configure the Main Inbox:
1. Click the Main Inbox tab to view information about the Main Inbox. If the Main Inbox tab is not visible, click New Main Inbox to open the configuration page.
2. Configure the following important access parameters of the inbox:
E-mail—Enter the valid E-mail address of the Main Inbox. This E-mail address is automatically designated as the reply-to address in Codebeamer emails after the Main Inbox is set up.
Account and Password—Enter the log-in username and password according to for your mail server requirement.
Server—Enter the IP address or the host name of the POP3 or IMAP mail server.
Protocol—Select the POP3 or IMAP protocols.
Port—Use default port numbers set by Codebeamer.
3. Click Test Connection to test if Codebeamer can connect to the email account after entering all details.
4. Save the configuration after successful connection.
