System Requirements and Platform Updates
This page describes the hardware and software requirements of Codebeamer 2.2. For general requirements, see General System Requirements.
Virtual Systems
Codebeamer 2.2 versions are tested with VMware ESX 6.5.0, ESX 6.7.0, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Azure virtual machines and Proxmox 6.3-4.
Docker
Docker images are no longer provided but a script is provided to create your own Docker image. For details on building a docker image, see Building a Docker Image for Codebeamer. The Docker image is tested with 20.10.12 version of Docker.
Supported Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
For Java Runtime Environment details, refer to the PTC Release Advisor..
Supported Application Servers
Codebeamer is shipped and tested with Apache Tomcat 9.0.82. The windows-based installer has the tomcat application server already included.
Supported Databases
Refer to the PTC Release Advisor for the supported databases list.

Customers using MySQL should migrate to either Oracle or PostgreSQL before upgrading to Codebeamer 2.2.
Supported Browsers
For supported browsers refer to the PTC Release Advisor.

In all browsers, JavaScript must be enabled to use the full functionality of Codebeamer.
From Codebeamer 20.11, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer are not supported. Refer to the PTC Release Advisor for supported platforms and browsers.
The following settings are required:
Cookies must be enabled.
Javascript must be enabled.
For Mozilla browsers (up from non-tested Firefox version 70 ), it might be needed to toggle the value of dom.storage.next_gen to false in case there are page elements fails to load (for example, new comment window) due to a known issue in Firefox as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/some-pages-or-page-elements-fail-load-after-updating.
Source Code Management Systems (SCM)
For supported Git, Subversion, Perforce, and Mercurial versions refer to the PTC Release Advisor.

It might be necessary to upgrade supported Git, Mercurial and Subversion versions from additional packages.
Jira Integration

Microsoft Office
