Installing Codebeamer X on Windows
Pre-requisites
• Have JDK 8 installed and added to PATH environment variables.
• Make sure there are no running Codebeamer X instances on the current machine.
Installation steps
1. Initiate the installation with starting the installation file from command line as Administrator.
2. Follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
3. Accept the license agreement.
4. Decide whether to install Codebeamer X as a windows service (recommended), or not.
5. Set ports for the software (leave the default values if possible).
6. Set installation folder.
7. Start the installation with the wizard.
8. Finish the installation with the wizard.
9. Download a mysql-connector version from https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/
and place it in the installation folder's /tomcat/lib/ directory.

1. Start the application with the startup.sh file from the installation folder's /tomcat/bin/ directory.
Post-installation steps
2. Follow the instructions of the post-install process.
3. Accept the license agreement.
4. Create a new instance or upgrade an existing one.
5. Create a new account or use an existing one.
6. Provide the database's access (Database schema and Schema username should be unique, Schema password should contain a lower and upper case characters, numbers and special characters).
7. Click on the [Test connection] to test the connection with the database.
8. Click on [Next].
9. Setup the administrator account.
10. Decide whether to setup a mail server or not.
11. Finish the post-install process by clicking on [Start working with Codebeamer X] button.
12. Wait for the process to finish.
