Advanced Print Publisher can be instructed to recognize XML content. Document properties available to Advanced Print Publisher documents have a direct effect on how Advanced Print Publisher processes XML. Templates can use XPath, or access and manipulate XML DOMs. Transformation of content using XSLT is supported in Advanced Print Publisher.

Advanced Print Publisher includes two XML parsers. Its default parser is based on the libXML library and should always be used. The 3B2–XML parser, which was a home-grown library, should not be used.
