Diagnostic Files Generated by an Unexpected Exit
When Arbortext Editor closes unexpectedly, it may generate the following diagnostic files:
• editor.dmp
• editor_err.log
PTC Technical Support may ask you to provide these files if you open a case about an unexpected exit. The location where Arbortext Editor writes the files is determined in the following order of precedence:
• The path specified by the TMP environment variable
• The path specified by the TEMP environment variable
• The path specified by the USERPROFILE environment variable
• The Windows directory
