Desktop Composer Option
The Desktop Composer option provides publishing capabilities, including:
Printing formatted documents.
Previewing documents — displays the pages on screen the same way they will appear on paper.
PDF support — Arbortext Editor creates PDF files with preserved linking information.
Custom Touchup — This feature lets you customize Touchup processing instruction attributes.
Generating HTML files that you can post to a Web server or a local file system.
Automatically generating text such as tables of contents and indexes.
Viewing documents published for the Web using a standard Web browser.
Generating HTML Help.
When the Desktop Composer option is installed and licensed, the following menu commands may be enabled:
File > Print
File > Print Preview
File > Publish > PDF File
File > Publish > Using Rule
File > Publish > For Web
File > Publish > HTML Help (Windows only)
File > Publish > HTML File
To see which optional components are licensed for your use, refer to the Arbortext Editor Session information available by selecting Help > About Arbortext Editor > Session.

Additional application development work is required to configure customized document types for use with the Desktop Composer.
