Components of Documents and Templates
The building blocks of PTC Advanced Print Publisher documents and templates are combined within Arbortext Styler to produce output. This relationship is fundamental to understanding the integration of PTC Advanced Print Publisher within Arbortext Styler.
The components of PTC Advanced Print Publisher documents and templates can be grouped into six main categories:

Most of the examples provided in this guide are based on JavaScript code. Extensions to Arbortext Styler stylesheets are typically written in JavaScript, via the PTC Advanced Print Publisher Formatting Object Model (FOM) API. Stylesheet extensions and template code written in PTC Advanced Print Publisher’s proprietary syntax can also be included.
