Creating a Hyperlink
*
Hyperlink features are being deprecated in Arbortext Editor. However, if you still need to use hyperlinks, you can add the Create Hyperlink, Delete Hyperlink, and Show Hyperlinks selections to the Tools menu using the set hyperlinkmenus command.
Hyperlinks are links between places in a document. For example, there could be hyperlinks between a reference and its graphic, table, or instruction list. You can traverse the links from both directions. You can temporarily add links while you are editing information, then remove them if desired.
1. Place your cursor at the spot from which to link and highlight one or more words (usually instructions on using the link or what the link destination is). If you highlight a tag, be sure to include both start and end tags. The highlighted word appears underlined once the link is set up.
2. Choose Tools > Create Hyperlink.
3. Follow the instruction to move the cursor to the target destination.
4. In the instruction window, click OK to insert the target tag. (To stop the process, choose Cancel.)
