PCX
Format type — Bitmap
Operating system — Windows
The PCX format is a widely supported bitmap format. PCX does not store grayscale or color correction tables. Its run-length compression scheme can be inefficient for continuous tone images. PCX files can use a variety of palette techniques due to the age and evolution of PCX. As a result, some readers cannot handle the full range of possible PCX implementations.

Arbortext Editor ignores the resolution of PCX files, displaying and printing them at 72dpi. If you scale the PCX smaller, the printed output will take advantage of the full resolution of the file (assuming your output device has a higher resolution).
