Understanding Burst Configuration Components
The document burst configuration for any given document object is controlled by two configuration files:
• atidefaults.bcf — Contains system-wide burst configuration settings.
• doctypename.bcf — Contains burst configuration settings specific to a particular document type.
Both of these files must reside in the same directory. While they do not need to be stored in the PTC Server, it is a good practice to store them there.
Sample copies of an atidefaults.bcf file, an axdocbook.bcf file, and files for all of the DITA document types are provided in the following directory:
