Updating stylesheets
It is good practice to check whether your existing foglio di stile.style files need updating when you install a new release of Arbortext Editor. foglio di stiles from previous releases might not be compatible with the current release of the product. If your site has licensed Arbortext Styler, you can follow the procedure described in the Arbortext Styler online help to upgrade your stylesheets. Otherwise, follow this procedure to upgrade your foglio di stile.style files. Note that you must save the foglio di stile for the updates to be permanent.
*
For stylesheets located on the Server Arbortext PE, you can perform this procedure using Arbortext Publishing Engine Interactive, or be sure to copy or move updated stylesheets to the server to make them available for publishing requests from Arbortext Editor.
Use the following steps to update a foglio di stile in Arbortext Editor.
1. Choose Format > Select Stylesheets to open the Select Stylesheets dialog box.
2. Highlight the current Editor/Default stylesheet and select the Modify button.
The Modify Editor/Default Stylesheet Selection dialog box opens.
3. Select a foglio di stile developed in a previous release in the Available Stylesheets for Editor/Default list.
4. Select the Select button to close the dialog box and set the foglio di stile as the Editor/Default stylesheet.
5. Select the Close button to close the Select Stylesheets dialog box.
If the foglio di stile needs updating, Arbortext Editor prompts you to perform the update. If you do not perform the update, the foglio di stile will not be usable in the current product release.
6. Follow the prompts to update the foglio di stile.
Make sure you save the foglio di stile to make the updates permanent. After you save the updated .style file, it cannot be used by previous versions of PTC Arbortext software. The automatic updating process saves a backup of the original stylesheet, that you can access if necessary.
7. Perform this operation for all foglio di stiles you are migrating to the upgraded release. Be sure to check all custom directories your site uses for foglio di stile.style files.
