If another author has made changes to an object that your document references, you can update your display of the document in Arbortext Editor to view the latest version of the object. You can only update objects that you have not checked out of the PTC Server.

To update the document currently open in Arbortext Editor, choose File > Update Document. Any objects that are not checked out by the current user, including graphics, are updated to the version specified in the workspace configuration specification. If none of those objects have been modified, the PTC Server connection does not execute the update operation.
