Undoing Check Outs
Undoing a check out returns an object to a PTC Server without saving any of the changes made since the object was checked out. For an object checked out in the Browser, undo its checkout using the following procedure:
1. Highlight the object in the Browser hierarchy.
2. In the Browser, select > or click the Undo Check out button.
A confirmation dialog box is displayed. If the selected object has descendant objects, you have the option to undo the check out of either the object or the object and its descendents.
3. Click on Yes.
The check out of the selected object is canceled.
For an object that is checked out and open in Arbortext Editor, undo its checkout using the following procedure:
1. Place the cursor in the object that was checked out.
2. In Arbortext Editor, choose > .
A confirmation dialog box is displayed. If the selected object has descendant objects, you have the option to undo the check out of either the object or the object and its descendents. If you checked out an object and its descendents, place your cursor within the parent object, not one of the descendents, before canceling the checkout.
3. Click on Yes.
The check out of the selected object is canceled. The object remains open in Arbortext Editor, but is now read-only.
