Copying and Pasting Text and Tags
1. Place the cursor anywhere in a paragraph in your document. Click the RIGHT mouse button, and select Select Element from the shortcut menu.
2. Choose Edit > Copy.
3. Place your cursor at a valid insertion point for the selection you made.
4. Choose Edit > Paste.

When copying and pasting, pay special attention if the region contains markup. Arbortext Editor checks for context before pasting and does not permit you to paste if the text or markup would be out of context when inserted.
Duplicate IDs Created During Paste Action
It is possible that a paste action can create duplicate IDs in a document. Use these options in your Arbortext Editor environment to specify the action to be taken when duplicate IDs are created:
The Paste Duplicate ID Action field in the Editing Preferences panel of the Preferences dialog box (see Tools > Preferences > Edit)
set pasteduplicateids option
